You Should Have Listened To Mom

Breathless I pause, bat in hand, surrounded by shards of glass and chunks of plastic. Terrified eyes watch from the couch. Realization settles in, erupting in agonized wails. The fifty-five inch Samsung’s ever-present reign has ended.

Regime change exacts a hefty price.

      1. I don’t know how my “is it ok” comment landed on your post. I was responding somewhere else. But I do love my TV too much to bash it in, as tempting as it is sometimes (i’m looking at Donald Trump right now)

  1. This made me laugh right out loud. The first sentence made me scared – I thought you were defending yourself from some intruder or something, but then I realized what was going on and LOLed. I would also love to smash the TV or iPod to get the point across to my daughter sometimes – instead I just hide the remote!!

    1. I’m glad to know I’m not alone. Hiding the remote is probably the more reasonable response. I know a woman who cut the TV cord because her son wouldn’t stop watching. I admire her resolve, but I’m much too practical in real life to take that kind of drastic action.
